Consolidated Cherub (Baby Face) Chamber Lamp in Green Satin Glass - Extremely Rare

Green Satin Glass | Circa 1895–1905

This classic “Cherub” Gone With the Wind lamp was produced by the Consolidated Lamp & Glass Company of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, during the circa 1895–1905 period and represents one of Consolidated’s more figural and decorative art glass designs.

This example is executed in green satin glass, an exceptionally scarce colorway within the Cherub pattern. Green satin examples were produced in very limited quantities and are rarely encountered on the open market, particularly in well-preserved condition. The satin surface enhances the sculptural detail while imparting a refined, understated richness.

This example retains its original high-grade center draft burner with lift-out font, an important indicator of originality and correct period construction. The lamp’s proportions are well balanced and visually engaging, making it an excellent display piece for formal parlors, libraries, or curated antique lighting collections.

Please Note: As authentic antique pieces, these lamps were hand-produced during the late 19th and early 20th centuries and may exhibit minor characteristics inherent to early glassmaking. These can include small air bubbles, light manufacturing irregularities, or minor fitter chips consistent with age and original production methods. Such characteristics are typical of period glass and do not detract from the overall integrity or authenticity of the piece.

We make every effort to carefully examine each lamp and note any significant condition issues, repairs, or restorations within the description. Any notable details can also be clearly demonstrated in a detailed video, available upon request.
